Front 280mm 4/100 pcd big brake kit for VW mk1 golf and caddy
This kit will upgrade your front brake discs from 237mm to 280mm brake discs using the stock mk1 velocity type calliper (171615123D and 171615124D)
NB) callipers not included
These brake discs are 22mm thick vs the stock discs thickness of 20mm. Some brake pads will need a slight skim to allow this setup to fit. We do know that Ferodo pads do fit without skimming.
The brake discs dust cover on the bearing carrier needs to be removed before installing the kit
Bolts needs to be torqued to 40nm
Included in the kit
- 1 x set Ferodo brake pads (4pads)
- 2 x 280mm brake discs 4/100 pcd
- 2 x 6082 Aluminium calliper spacers
- 8x bolt and nut fitting kit

Didn't receive instructions, but if you can't install this kit without....you have bigger problems. Had to grind one hub as bolt didn't line up, suspect aftermarket hub is not to OEM spec. Note, rotor mag contact is bigger now, clean mag facing before bolting back or dust will get in between mating services.

Easy to fit. Comes with an easy to read manual. Being using it for approximately 6 month. Definite increase in stopping power. And just looks better behind the rims -street20v
